Hello Black Veteran is a guided journal for Black veterans: the men and women who served, came home, and kept carrying things most people cannot see. Built in the Hello Black Man tradition of transparency and honest communication, its prompts give you a place to tell the true story at your own pace: the service you are proud of, the transition nobody trains you for, the identity beyond the uniform, and what civilian life is asking of you now.
Inside are 52 guided prompts, followed by open space for unguided journaling, so the structure is there when you need it and the blank page is there when you do not. This is not a debrief and it is not paperwork. It is a few honest pages at a time, for the person who wore the uniform and the person still becoming after it. Use it in the quiet after a hard day, on the anniversary of something only you remember, or whenever the weight needs words.
