Built in the Hello Black Man tradition of transparency and honest communication, its prompts make room for the conversations that get postponed: what you need but have not asked for, what hurt and never got named, what you appreciate and assume your partner already knows. Work through it side by side, or each on your own pages and come back together with words ready.
Inside are 52 guided prompts, followed by open space for unguided journaling, so the structure is there when you need it and the blank page is there when you do not. This is not a scorecard and it is not a fight waiting to happen. It is a few honest pages at a time, for two people building the same house.
